I'm going to open with a few facts about Ruby. Firstly, she identifies, dresses and acts like a female; for all intents and purposes, Ruby is a girl. Except, she has a penis. Secondly, as far as her vampire abilities go, I've mostly followed the Blade canon, as that is the fandom she's mostly been played in. For those who are unfamiliar or need a refresh, Ruby can't go out in the day light, is 'allergic' to garlic and can be killed by silver stakes.
Now, for her maker, I'm obviously looking for a man. He turned Ruby on a whim, perhaps even by accident, after they met in a bar. He bought her a few drinks and she offered herself up on a silver platter like the little slut-bag she is. The original idea was that he bit her and left her for dead, unknowing of her inevitable come back as a vampire. I'm thinking we can either stick with that idea, and start off with him coming back for her when he realises she's still... well, alive. OR, he could have taken her back to wherever he's staying and wait until she woke up, turned.
As for him personally, I picture him as a somewhat older vampire, possibly even a couple centuries years old. He's very respected and a lot of the vampire who know who he is, fear him and what he can do. When he's 'working', he's extremely serious and confident, but outside of those situations, he's lighthearted and has a good sense of humour (b/c, lets face it, Jason has an amazing smile). I'd prefer him to be rather impatient, mostly b/c Ruby is a little brat and it'd be great to work through all the issues that arise b/c she just won't do what she's told. Any other information is entirely up to you and if you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer as best I can!
