I mostly just want to explore their relationship post-Pitfall where Chuck survives the blast and they have a second chance at fixing their broken little family while trying to move on with their lives.

I have a general headcanon for the injuries Chuck will be recovering from and Herc is the Marshall now so there's all of that going on on top of the fact that Herc didn't lose his only family and Chuck didn't leave him and Max behind. I just want some father-son bonding time with maybe an argument here and there in pure Hansen fashion.

I'm open to other ideas as well, so if there's anything you'd like to explore, throw it at me and we can discuss them!

One idea that I admittedly got from a meme (the hurt/comfort I think) was addiction; Chuck becomes too dependent on his painkillers and Herc, having decided to take an active part in Chuck's life notices and steps in. I'd love to play that, either as a stand-alone thread in a/the meme or as an actual plot line.

So I think we mentioned this before somewhere, possibly poking around on memes and such where we can.

But I can definitely offer you a Herc if you ever feel like doing a musebox/private thing. (just note I'm a turtle tagger)

In that case, you are welcome to Papa Hansen here.

I'm pretty easy. I could roll with anything you have listed up there.

But the Chuck-survives, father-son relationship mending is definitely appealing.

Yeeesss.

And I agree. Thinking you're about to walk into your death is a good way to show you the error of your ways, I think.
