- tbh, i'm looking for pre-canon stuff for howard, maybe while he's at m.i.t. as a teenager (mid to late 1930s). i want to do some happy stuff with him while he's a young, crazy, and idealistic kiddo before he's recruited by the ssr in '41. so anyone interested with the crazy dude and his shenanigans.

- furthermore, specifically i'm interested in threading a "first love" kind of scenario. i'm only open to m/f, sorry. but i really, really want adorable, diabetes inducing fluff, ok.

- THAT BEING SAID, i am always open to wwii era and post-wwii threads with peggy, steve, bucky, whomever from the era.

i'm kind of iffy on ocs and aus are ok, but discussion is key so if you have any ideas or questions, lmk. i don't know exactly what i'm looking for, so i'm open to lots of things.

i've seen marias before, actually. but, i think, howard and maria met (at the earliest) in the mid-60s and i'm not very interested in playing him at that era (mainly because he's depressing as fuq and i'm looking for things a little more cheerful). peggy though? i don't really see howard and peggy as a couple. i prefer them as a brotp. but we can totally do peggy and howard bro stuff if that's ok :'3

what exactly do you have in mind for your oc? like — do you have any ideas for her?

When I created Mal, although to start was for the modern world, I wanted to play her as quite the optimist, or at least one who makes the most of every situation. Tries to find the silver lining in things. She didn't have an amazing start to life but she became a better person out of it.

She's quirky and playful and sometimes a little shy when things turn serious.

My idea, is that I could keep her back story and change the era obviously. Alter a few details here and there in her profile so it's better fitting to the times. I made Mal, a while back and then she basically laid dormant. I haven't got a specific plot idea, but I thought it'd be an interesting mix for the kind of fluff you were talking about. Sorry for all the babble, it was just an exciting opportunity :) If she's not for you, that's okay.

howard wouldn't call himself a g-man. he's the government's weapons specialist and on occasion his beliefs and wants align with theirs, but he does not work for them. i don't think s.h.i.e.l.d. operates within the government. i think it's uh...

charles doesn't have anything to worry about with howard tbh. by this point, he doesn't think he can save the world (at least not after everything he's done). if he could make the world a little less shitty, that'd be ok

I'm not sure how strongly Charles would come on. Though I think he would definitely be sifting around in Howard's brain. He's not too keen on the gov,separate divisions or otherwise.

i'm sure charles would already know of howard stark, at least what he's seen in the newsreels and read in newspapers. he would've grown up hearing about the great howard stark that helped win the war and is protecting the usa. he's a p. transparent guy, not a spy like peggy or fury. he wants to save the world but he's had to do terrible things to further that goal

He would definitely recognize Stark, but that doesn't mean that he will automatically trust Stark. Hmmm. Hold on a second. Okay. Here's something for you. Howard would also probably be aware, in some fashion, of who Charles's father was, Doctor Brian Xavier as well as the project he was working on Project: Black Womb. Cause this is the MCU and sinister (haha, no pun intended there) shit happens ALL THE TIME. Instead of having Cain Marko as an adopted brother, Charles got Raven as a sister.

I am thinking about posting to the open post but I haven't gotten any ideas yet. I kind of like the idea of Howard just showing up at his front step a few days after Moira reports in Washington. XD

oh yeah. i think some of it might be separating fiction from reality, and understanding how far howard would go to protect the world (dude's done some shady shit. shit charles probably wouldn't approve of). BUT YEAH howard possibly knew brian xavier from the manhattan project at the most. at the least, howard was a little aware of xavier's work. and — well, project: black womb did take place near los alamos. it wouldn't be surprising if howard (especially the ssr) was aware of the project.

steve being there would've changed little, i think. after all, steve's presence around tony in the comics doesn't dissuade him from committing similar actions. and yeah definitely! it wasn't steve that had the initial suspicions about something rotten in denmark; it was fury. fury led steve to the rabbit hole, he didn't find it on his own. AND EVEN THEN it took fury what? 30 - 40 years to figure it out. the events of the movie would've occurred earlier but...

For Peggy, maybe a picture prompt meme? I see them as besties because she could probably see through his shit. I do think she would trust him and have a lovely brotp with him.

First love: What's really great about Howard's history is that it is flexible. You can play around with it in that timeline. Maybe a girl he meets at university or during those times. She would have to be feisty and challenge him, in my opinion. He won't fall easily and not just for any dame.

I wanted to maybe take another movie character from the forties, another film and toss her at him. Could be a nurse or maybe someone who knows technology too. She would have to be intelligent as well as eye pleasing. There are some very beautiful, strong females that would be a great match for Howard. Pearl Harbor. The Aviator. Even A League of their Own would fit in that category depending on who we dabbled with.

I am flexible in my idea? I can change it? I probably can think up other ideas too...
