So I've been carrying around this idea for a muse that would just not die (and that I played for a hot second back on LJ). Someone who is the perfect wife and mother, who drives car pool and goes to PTA meetings, who holds cookouts for the neighbors, but is actually a supervillain -- has a lair in the basement and everything. And so I finally made her a journal. And now I need to populate her world. Her husband, her children, her older brother, and some neighbors/friends/fellow supervillains. Because admit it, suburban supervillains is too awesome for words.

I've left most of the details open so as to give anyone who wants to pick up a character plenty of free range, but I also have a ton of ideas so I am more than willing to plot, help with PBs, etc.

I just think this is something that could have a ton of potential and provide lots of wacky rp times.

I haven't got anyone suitable right now outside some Marvel Muses for Sarah/Scarlet to encounter but your muse does sound pretty cool and I spun a few ideas. I thought it might be amusing if her husband was sort of a male Lois Lane type, working for a paper and always keen to get the story, yet Sarah has the Superman thing so that he wouldn't connect her super villain persona to her... at least not straight away. Could be a doctor too though, Hart sounds like a Doctor's name. Someone hard working but still always tries to find time for his wife and children.

Or I could think about another supervillain. Probably a tech Doctor Octopus/Mr Freeze type.

Ooooh. I am gonna be super helpful about all this and say I love all those ideas. It's funny cause there are some things I just know and others I have no clue about. Like I know Sarah met her husband in South America. That fact is clear as day in my head. Same with the idea that she almost gave up the evil thing when her first child was born. But then she realized the world she would build by taking it over would be better for her children than the one they were born into.

Oh thanks. :) Yeah I get situations like that myself when detailing back stories of characters whether they are established or not. The first child thing sounds very sweet too! Given that super hero comics often use alliteration for names - Bruce Banner, Matt Murdock, Peter Parker etc - I figure Henry would be his name? Henry Hart. Might have to think what he was doing to South America but I figure that would be a good place to first meet. Assuming they were fairly young parents or the kids are still young, what age would they be? If I'm going to locate a PB that'll be important for Henry.

I feel like their kids are still fairly young -- like twelve and under; maybe ten for the boys and eight for the girl? That way she can be fully immersed in soccer practices and school bake sales.

So if they met in their early twenties, they'd probably be in their early/mid thirties now.

And yes. Henry Hart works perfectly!

Sure, I was thinking maybe slightly younger with say the girl as six so she could be adorable and all, but it's up to you. Those sorts of things sound wonderfully amusing for a secret super villainess.

Early thirties is fine! I'll nosy for a PB then and IM you when I have a journal to hand? Might be a couple of days fyi.

I could see younger. The boys 8 and the girl 6. So third and first grade. Tons of bake sales and science projects. Lots of PTA crap. Perfect. XD

8 and 6 is perfect, so great. If we go with the idea of the boys having slightly different personalities of one being more sporty and the other more intellectual I figure Henry has to juggle soccer practice and science projects, plus taking care of dowl houses for the girl and such. Also in regards to parents more intimate acts I figure that Henry and Sarah try to have dates at least once a week with a babysitter. Maybe Henry is thinking about whether they could have one more kid since he's a good dad, maybe not.

Yes. 1000 times yes to the whole date night thing. Because I think a large part of Sarah feels guilty for keeping this huge part of her life from Henry. Because she does love him. More than anything. He's a huge weakness.

And her mother tells her so all the time. Because yes. I totally see Sarah coming from a Supervillain family. Like talk about the mother in law from hell. She absolutely does not approve -- but adores her grandchildren and hopes to one day bring them into the fold.

Great! And Henry totally loves her too, even if he's totally clueless to the fact she's a super criminal (and right now I have no idea how he'd react to knowing that). He's her male Lois Lane then.

Yay to super villain families. Henry probably... tolerates her. Since despite his newspaper background he's prone to being optimistic about people where possible, but Sarah's mother...

I might try to im you about a possible PB before I finalise things anyway.

Yeah no. Tolerating is probably the best you can get with Sarah's mom. Sarah is very very proud of Henry for not rising to her bait...so far.

I suspect Henry thinks Sarah's mom already knows that he's not overly fond of her, but since she's part of the package he'd not complained about it.
