Your Muse: Barry Allen
Muse wanted: Arrow!verse muses
Community: Probably bakerstreet, but I'm open to PSLs too
Fandom: The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow
Canon or AU: Canon (for the most part)
Medium: TV show
Contact via: Here, PM, or feel free to hit up my plurk or AIM which are both on the profile of this account
So I've only just started seriously RPing as Barry (my first new muse in a long, long time), and I would love some castmates to bounce off of. I'm not picky at all as far as plots or scenarios go, I'd just like some familiar faces for my favorite speedster =)

But yes. These two definitely need to hang out. Did you have anything in particular you wanted, or would you prefer to throw them at a meme and see what happens?

Bakerstreet is actually super easy to navigate, so you don't have to worry about it being difficult to figure out. If you like, I can send you a link to one of my threads over there so you can get a feel for it?
What I like about Bakerstreet is that since you're commenting on a specific meme, it gives a nice outline of where the CR is going to go, rather than just kind of dumping your characters into the deep end. But if you'd prefer to start with a PSL, I'm more than happy to do that as well.

That would be great, if you could link me to one of your threads at bakerstreet. I'm assuming each thread off a TL there is in its own closed universe? Is it typical for two people threading the same characters across TLs at bakerstreet to maintain an arc? I've done meme stuff before, but it's been in a closed game, so I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. :)
Another question (forgive me for inundating you): how do you (personally) find it best to track threads at bakerstreet? Do you follow the comm and just TL to the memes when they're posted/go through the TLs to find people you want to tag?
Thank you for your help getting me up to speed (no pun intended)! I'm totally good doing bakerstreet and we can always do a PSL if the mood/opportunity strikes.

What's great about an open community like Bakerstreet is that it's very relaxed. Some people who play together frequently use the memes to create headcanons and verses that they play out from thread to thread. Others treat each meme as a blank slate. It's entirely up to you how you'd like to play it. I personally enjoy building CR from meme to meme and compiling it all into the relationship.
When it comes to threads, I honestly just scroll through Bakerstreet. I'll go to the comm, then scroll until I find a meme that interests me. Once I do that, I'll go through the individual posts to see if there's anyone I want to tag. If not, I'll throw a post of my own up. Sometimes I do both if I especially like the meme XD I can be greedy sometimes.
One last thing before we jump in (my turn to ask a question haha): Are you open to shipping? I like relationships to develop organically regardless, but I always like to know where my partner stands so no lines get crossed. When I first started RPing four years ago, I was tagged in a meme by a character that I absolutely did not ship with my character, and it made it really uncomfortable for everyone when their character made a move. I like to try to prevent that where I can =)

Forgive me for my newbieness, but what does CR stand for? I think I would probably end up compiling interactions into a relationship as you described, so that's what I'm inclined to do as well. It sounds like it will work well for both of us. :)
Okay, that makes sense to me! Thank you for walking me through all of this. I've looked at it a few times, but it was so overwhelming I was a bit scared, hehe.
I'm completely open to shipping, or not, as the relationship develops. My current personal favorite ship for Cisco isn't with Barry (if that makes you feel less nervous), but I also love their friendship and can absolutely see it becoming more if feelings change organically. I hope that helps? Short version: I'm totally down, but not expecting anything one way or the other.

When it comes to the DCU, there are few characters that I don't ship with each other, so that definitely helps. Honestly, it may just be because they have such cool pairing names: ColdFlash, Goldenvibe, etc. I'm very open with DCU muses XD

Okay! Thank you for clarifying! I had a feeling it was something like that, but I wanted to be sure I was reading it correctly. :)
Hee, same here, honestly. Like, I'm basically down for just about any of them. Sounds like we're on the same page! I'm excited to write with you; thank you for being so welcoming.

Also, the Len and Harry that you tagged on that meme are played by a good friend of mine. She's totally awesome, so don't hesitate to talk to her if you need any more help.

Fantastic! Again, thank you for your help!
And that is also awesome! I will definitely remember that. :) I'm enjoying that thread already too!
