I'd like to explore the relationship between Marcus and Joan more than it has been on the show. I'm thinking that perhaps Joan and he grow closer as he tries to deal with his injury and whatnot. And as he weighs the pros and cons of joining the 'demographic' unit or whatever. It doesn't have to be romantic or anything, though I won't mind if it eventually gets there.
