Your Muse: The angel Balthazar.
Muse wanted: Castmates, AU castmates, angels from other canons, but particularly Sam Winchester (with or without soul) for plottings.
Community: Negotiable. I mostly play in dressing rooms (bakerstreet, sixwordstories, the_love_hotel) and my own musebox, but if you have suggestions, I'm open to them.
Fandom: Supernatural
Canon or AU: I can play him canon, post-canon, or AU, but what I propose to plot is AU.

So, what happened here is I got to thinking about Balthazar and Free Will, because as much as he seems to like the idea, there's a hint of desperation in his suggestion that he "might as well blow coke and jump on the bed". It almost sounds like he's still trying to convince himself, or having a temper tantrum, or both.
What I get out of his exchange with soulless Sam is a sense of fascination with a human who has no conscience and no boss and is therefore beholden to no one. Angels have bosses, demons have a hierarchy, and even now that Balthazar's run away, there are some things he'd like to do but can't quite suppress the angelic instincts enough to try. What Sam has, without a soul to apply the brakes, seems like the essence of freedom.
I'd like to play with that concept, have some more interaction between the two characters, and possibly bring in the idea that because Balthazar did Sam a favor, he's owed something in return. I'm happy to have the rest of the cast involved, or handwave things. (I have a friend playing a Cas for me, but I'm happy to hear from other versions of him, too.) I am NOT necessarily looking for shipping or smut with this, just plot. I'm open to discussing the possibility, but a long CR buildup would be imperative, regardless.
I'm also happy to plot other things with other characters, so contact me with any ideas at all, but the above is what's in my brain today.

I could play a brought-back-to-life Balthazar or a didn't-actually-die Balthazar, whichever you prefer. I will warn I tend to be slow with tags lately because I've got some big projects IRL, but I backtag for weeks or months if given the chance.

I can do a sws post or a psl on one journal or another (or my musebox). I like to see how things go in a thread before committing, but if you've skimmed my journal you may already be aware I like Calthazar. So that's all good!
