Rue is up-to-date with her canon and entered the game at or right before the moment of her death, so she'll only be familiar with canon events up until that point.
The basic premise of Digital Dive is that your character is pulled into the digital world, partnered with a Digimon and tasked with stopping the Seven Demon Kings (Digimon who are personifications of the Seven Deadly Sins). And as if that weren't enough to deal with there are also the baddies that get brought in from other worlds as Tamers, so you've got those villains and their schemes to deal with as well. Now that the game has moved over from LJ to DW you can choose what "type" of Tamer you want your character to be: a Soul Tamer (a la Digimon Savers), a Matrix Tamer (a la Digimon Tamers), a Spirit Tamer (a la Digimon Frontier) or a Xros Tamer (a la Digimon Xros Wars).
