Character Information

Sam Winchester is a lot of things: a hunter of all things supernatural, an intellectual connoisseur/nerd, a guy who just wanted to live a normal life. He's also Lucifer's vessel, the man who almost ended the world, and the man who saved it. He's a brother, a father, a friend - a freak, a monster. He's infected with demon blood, impure, always striving to make up for this litany of mistakes and the legacy of evil he inherited, but never wanted. He believes that anybody can be good, no matter their background, because he has to believe it's not too late for him, either. Sam Winchester is too many things at once, and he's always known it, and he's always trying to make up for it.

 

 

Appearance

At first appearance, despite his tall stature, Sam comes across as gentle and soft-spoken. He's patient and empathetic, and very attuned to others and their emotions. He rarely stands at his full height, unless facing a threat. He's gotten good at slipping past unnoticed, which is required for a life of a hunter. While his intentions are usually sincere, he's an expert at lying and has no qualms doing so to get the information he needs. His ultimate goal is always to save as many lives as he can, and using underhanded means to do so is simply part of his job at this point. If you don't pose a threat, Sam will be initially kind, but probably not overly-friendly; he's grown too used to losing the people he loves to let himself get too attached to strangers.

If you are an active threat to Sam or others, Sam demeanor changes completely. He is always armed and ready for a fight, an instinct ingrained in him since childhood. He's quick on the draw, cunning and physically imposing, and will pull out all the stops to win in a fight, especially since he's used to dealing with creatures stronger than himself. He thinks on his feet and often comes up with a solution halfway through a battle. Don't let his initial demeanor fool you: Sam is stubborn and relentless, mentally as well as physically, and he won't go down without one hell of a fight.

 

 

Skills & Abilities

While (mostly) a regular human at this point in his canon, Sam has a lifetime of combat training under his belt. He's an expert in almost all weaponry, supernatural lore, and most recently, witchcraft, thanks to his friend Rowena. 

Thanks to the exposure of living by and in diffusion zones, Sam's psychic powers from earlier in his canon will also return, but without the influence of him drinking demon blood. These include visions of the future and telekinesis. Sam is not an expert in these abilities and will most likely need guidance.
