Fandom: Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit... I have read the Silmarillion and where he was not born in those ages, I do know the characters and history.
Canon or AU: Either will work.
Medium: (Book, Movie, Game, etc) Book or Movie... but I suppose mostly book as he was not in the movies but definitely in the books.
