After years in the fandom of games with players who are just insane, (seriously idk what it is about rp'ng that brings out the crazy in people) we started making our games invite only.

Also, we're starting a new game that's completely OCs because it sometimes feels like you're just regurgitating the same stuff when you've been playing the same characters for so long. So we wanted to try our hand at completely new characters that can never be ruined by canon. lol

Agree completely. Oh my god, the stories I have... RP is for fun and stress relief, not to get your panties in a twist for something that's imagination-only. I've met some really great people through RP, though. Two sides to every coin, I suppose.

I like playing AUs - not necessarily "Glee in Hogwarts" or "Glee in the 1800's" or anything like that, but more of a "what if?". A Quinn I played with frequently on LJ and I were being quite snarky during the "Glee: TNG" craze on LJ and we tweaked it (mostly because we were cranky that they'd set Puck/Lauren as a permanent pairing in the verse). She was married to Sam, Puck was married to Lauren, and Puck and Quinn were having an affair. We got everybody in on it - it was actually quite interesting. My verse with my Rachel is very loosely based on "The City" by smc-27... I think that there's plenty of room for characters and development but you really do need to go beyond canon for that.

(The problem with invite-only play is that it makes it difficult to find other good players without weeding through some miserable/dramatic ones.)

Some of my best friends I've met through RP'ng. So I gotcha.

I will basically play anything in a game as long as I have chemistry with the player. That's how I came to ship Finntana and Artana. It's sincerely also how I came back to shipping Brittana.

Love SMC-17! Most Finntana and Pezberry, but I like her Puckleberrypez fic is amazing.

We actually have an RP group. I call them The Crazy 88. A friend and I actually combined our groups and so far we have about 20 players we know are solid. So it's worked out for us.

Same. I wasn't a fan of Quick until I started to play it. I'm not particularly hardcore on ships, but I hate Finchel.

Sorry I have been absent. I had a crazy week and a half. I was sick and sliced my finger open at work. It's been a mess.

YES. That one was amazing. Puck/Santana/Rachel is more fun than it really ought to be. If that was canon, they'd have to move Glee to HBO or Showtime. (Oh please please please.)
